Valves are slightly dorsiventral. Apices are capitate. Striae are not visible in LM. The central area is an incomplete, mostly rectangular fascia that is somewhat wider on the dorsal side of the valve. The margins are usually straight or slightly convex, but may be concave on the ventral side of the valve.
